WHAT a disgusting state of affairs exists in our city, when our Mayor has to travel to Gloucester to celebrate St George's Day (Evening News, April 22).
Perhaps someone in high office could inform us why Worcester City Council is unable or unwilling to celebrate the day of our patron saint.
Whatever is happening to our Faithful city? People used to travel thousands of miles to visit and savour our history.
Not anymore - even Worcester in Bloom is being curtailed this year.I think everyone knows the reason, but we would like to hear it straight from the horse's mouth.
Dare we look forward to seeing a few flags flying in the city? Perhaps they are forbidden, too. No wonder people don't vote.
DES BRADLEY, Worcester.
