An outdoor school has been lashed together in the Wyre Forest to teach children about their natural surroundings.
The only formal building at the school will be a wooden shelter lashed together with rope and covered with tarpaulin.
"The children will learn about the plants and creatures that live in their school and will be responsible for protecting and looking after them," said Heidi Munday of the Mayfield House Kindergarten, in Kidderminster, who was asked to help launch the scheme because of her special training in "forest schools".
The school, which opens later this month, will become a base for children who will attend for one day over a
10-week period.
