A JUBILEE bench is now taking pride of place in Great Comberton, near Pershore.
The permanent memorial, in honour of the Queen's 50-year reign, was funded by the Great Comberton Social Club which raised £200 after a raffle and pig roast.
As a result the bench, placed outside the village hall, offers ramblers a chance to rest their feet and take in superb views stretching to the Malvern Hills.
"We already had a plaque in place to mark the Golden Jubilee and villagers wanted something else to mark this occasion," said John Tibbels , secretary for the social club.
"We decided the best thing to do was to have a seat outside the village hall, because there are great views across the countryside for people to sit and enjoy."
The Jubilee seat was unveiled at a ceremony at the weekend by Hugh Peart, chairman of the parish council.
