A HUGE fan of chart-topping teen band Busted is jumping for joy after reaching the finals of a BBC karaoke contest.
Ten-year-old David Brazier has already beaten thousands of other young hopefuls, who entered The Saturday Show's Busted competition, with his lively rendition of their hit Year 3000.
If the budding star is crowned karaoke king at this week's Glasgow final, he will perform alongside his idols at the Manchester Apollo at the end of the month.
Proud mum Sue said the "outgoing" King's Hawford pupil, who also plays rugby for Worcester City and cricket at county level, was over the moon at reaching the final three.
"We couldn't believe it when he was selected for the last 12," she said.
"I don't think it was so much his voice but his energetic performance, which had the infamous Busted jumps and everything.
"He was quite nervous about appearing on last week's show but braved the cameras and won the public vote."
This Saturday morning on BBC One, David will don baggy pants and back-to-front baseball cap to go head-to-head with two other hopefuls.
He has decided to pick the fast-paced You Said No for his debut performance in Manchester if he strikes lucky.
Even if he doesn't win, however, David, of Lineholt Lane, Ombersley, will still get to spend a celebrity-studded weekend after being flown to the BBC's Glasgow studios.
