North Midlands booked their place in the final of the Tetley's County Shield by winning Pool Two with a comfortable 32-12 win over Leicestershire at Kibworth.
North Midlands led 15-9 at half-time and built impressively on that lead on the second half to secure their place in the last four and a long trip to Tynedale's ground at Corbridge on Saturday.
First half tries from flanker Simon Dawes (Stourbridge) and centre Mark Eastwood (Malvern) were followed by further tries from Stourbridge flanker Howard Dawson, Birmingham & Solihull hooker Alan Hubbleday and Stourbridge centre Ali McLaughlin. Skipper Duncan Hughes added two conversions and a penalty.
Jon Boden kicked four penalties for Leicestershire.
North Midlands' victory means that they have two chances of winning promotion to the Tetley's County Championship next season.
Victory over Northumberland will take them through to the Shield final at Twickenham on May 24 and secure promotion to the Championship.
Defeat at Tynedale would mean a home play-off against either Hertfordshire or Notts, Lincs & Derbyshire on May 31 with a Championship place at stake.
