Charge of Attempted Suicide - Jacob Ruchstall, a Swiss, was charged in custody with attempting to commit suicide by shooting himself in the head with a revolver on April 28th.
Mary Ann Tongue, wife of Albert Tongue, 49 Unicorn Hill, Redditch, said the accused had been lodging with them about nine months.
Prisoner had been 'funny' at times, but witness never thought he would attempt to take his life.
He had talked about it many times but witness thought he was joking.
Prisoner, who had nothing to say, and did not apply for bail, was committed for trial at the Quarter Sessions.
