I NOTICE one letter writer is fed up with the roundabout corrrespondance. Well, I am fed up with the roundabout and can everyone please keep writing until some thing is done.
I note your article quotes the head of highways management saying they will monitor the situation.
If he consults his survey taken prior to the new markings, he will see that the vast majority of traffic approaching from Birmingham either goes straight on or turns right.
A small percentage turns left. There used to be three lanes for this situation. Now there is one dedicated lane for the smallest amount of traffic to turn left and everyone else is channelled into one lane only.
Today, Friday prior to a bank holiday and a popular day to take as additional, I notice a survey is taking place at the roundabout. Could this be a coincidence?
