THE April 16 meeting at the Moat House, Kings Coughton, resulted in a good turnout of members riding their Royal Enfields and taking advantage of the unusually warm weather.

Chairman Ray Tew informed everyone that preparations for the forthcoming exhibition at Forge Mill Museum were well advanced and that the appeal in the local press for artefacts to display had been fruitful.

After the official business members enjoyed a very interesting presentation by Joe David on the life of George Formby.

George was a very keen motorcyclist and pictures of him with Royal Enfields can be seen at the museum exhibition between May 10-26.

Many hundreds of Royal Enfields will be returning to their birthplace on Saturday, July 12, when the club visits Redditch in partnership with Redditch Council for the biggest gathering ever at Arrow Valley Countryside Centre. This event is open to the public free of charge.
