SCI-FI star Patrick Stewart OBE takes on the title role in a brand new interpretation of Henrik Ibsen's The Master Builder, which premieres at Malvern Theatres tomorrow.
Famous as Jean Luc Picard in Star Trek and star of X-men, Patrick Stewart returns to the stage to play Master Builder Solness.
He played many seasons at the Royal Shakespeare Company in the 1980s and recently won an Olivier Award for his dramatisation of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol which ran on Broadway and at London's Old Vic Theatre.
The builder's wife, Aline, is played by Sue Johnston, star of Brookside, The Royle Family and currently on BBC in the crime drama Waking the Dead.
The play revolves around Master Solness, his loveless marriage and what happens when a beautiful and very young woman, Hilde, played by Lisa Dillon, arrives in town.
The play's director is Anthony Page, whose successes include the BBC adaptation of Middlemarch.
The Master Builder runs until May 24 at Festival Theatre before transferring to London.
Tickets cost £14-£24 (students £8) on 01684 892277 or:
