Highgate, Division F champions, took the lead on ten minutes following a goalmouth scramble.

Swifts then started to play and Lee Henry almost equalised when his shot hit the cross bar.

Town lost their first game of 2003 in this League Shield final.

Leafield took the lead early in the second half. Despite being without play maker Ross McGuinness, who broke his arm days before the final, Town levelled through Aston Lloyd.

The stalemate ensued until Matthew Bottley produced a moment of magic to give Leafield victory.

Man of the match Martyn Gavan opened the scoring on the half hour and Jordan Taylor finished as the club's top scorer when he came off the bench to score midway through the second half.

Binbrook scored a consolation just before the end.

Rubery Juniors U9s have won the Catshill Juniors five-a-side tournament for the second year running.

Rubery defeated Churchill 1-0 with a Jay Wooldridge goal and drew 0-0 with both Kingfisher and Catshill B.

A Robert Beadle double saw them beat Hunt End 2-0. Beadle also scored twice in the 5-0 thrashing of Catshill C along with strikes for Sam Pillinger, Wooldridge and Harrison Howie. Wolldridge scored the only goal against Catshill A.
