STUDLEY skipper Brandon Miller has pointed out this year's crop are better have started better than last year's title-hopefuls in the wake of a dispiriting defeat to newly-promoted Dorridge.
The hosts were beaten by 105 runs but the Washford Fields skipper was this week refusing to panic.
Chasing a target of 205, Division Two East outfit Studley could amass only 100 with opener Smith top scoring with 25 and the captain surrendering his own wicket for five.
Miller is hoping for a reversal of fortune at Walmley on Saturday (1pm start) but warned the opposition would provide a stiffer test than Dorridge.
Lewis is holidaying on Saturday but Stuart Harris is set to return.
