Cotswold Hills newcomers Cookhill made it two out of two since switching leagues despite only having ten players for their first home game.
Billy Harris hit a century for the Nevill Arms side as they finished with 176-8 in constant drizzle.
Opponents Welford were bowled out but not until the last over, by which time they were just four runs short of their target, Bob Wormington took 4-56 and captain Paul Williams finished with 3-37 despite breaking a finger.
Despite leading Division Six, Williams has stepped down as captain after Saturday's shortage of players and has handed over duties to Dave Whitehead.
Cookhill visit a Harvington II side who have lost their opening two fixtures - on Saturday (2pm start).
