NEIGHBOURS Five Ways Old Edwardians and Wythall suffered the same fate at the weekend.

Wythall are yet to win since both sides were promoted to Division Three and lost a rain-affected game against newly-formed Highcroft/Great Barr Unity.

Highcroft had set a 234 target and Wythall could only reach 109-2 in reply before rain stopped play to pocket just five points.

The Silver Street side take on fellow newcomers Solihull Municipal away on Saturday (2pm start).

Municipal re-entered the Warwickshire League after withdrawing from the Banks's Birmingham Senior League last season.

Five Ways Old Edwardians suffered their first defeat at the higher level at the hands of league leaders Streetly who reached their 177 target for the loss of just two wickets.

The Masshouse side visit Walsall YPF on Saturday (2pm start).
