IN your article about light pollution (Evening News, Tuesday, May 8) Peter Yates claimed that city planners regulate sports pitch lighting to minimise light pollution.
They seem to have missed the Nunnery Wood athletics track. During the winter months, the lights block out more than a third of the sky and is often not switched off until 10.30pm.
Are there plans to reduce this pollution?
