TWO talented teams complete the Advertiser/Messenger's coverage of Bromsgrove District Sports Council's awards evening.
First up, the Female Team award was presented to the Ryland U19s Netball team.
In the last season they have competed in both the Redditch and Birmingham leagues, making great strides on their way.
The girls scored more than 1,000 goals in the Redditch League, conceding just over 100 and won the Defenders Cup for the third year in a row.
Achievements in the Birmingham League saw the team leap from division eight to division five and finish 14th at the national finals in Essex after winning the regional sin Basingstoke.
Four of the players have been selected for the Birmingham County squad with three also being given the opportunity to attend an England camp.
The Past Winners accolade went to North Bromsgrove High School's boys basketball team.
After being named team of the year at last year's ceremony, the team has gone from strength to strength. Currently, they are the reigning West Midlands and county champions and have only lost two games in their national league group.
Elsewhere, at March's ceremony, England international hockey star Jennie Bimson won Supreme Female and table tennis player Mark Fiddian was named Over 21 Male.
