HOLLYWOOD residents will be bracing themselves for 'extremely disruptive' sewerage work lasting more than three months on three roads in the village.
Severn Trent Water will be carrying out the important replacement work to sewers in September, which means closing sections of Douglas Road, Corbett Road and setting up traffic management along Alcester Road.
The work is to alleviate flooding problems in Alveston Road and Alcester Road and will involve increasing the size of sewers in Douglas Road, as well as building an underground storage tank in Corbett and Alcester roads.
Severn Trent also said temporary arrangements would be made for the emergency services and public services during the road closures.
Companies who are concerned about loss of business during the works can call Severn Trent's claims analyst Tony Loy on 0121 722 4451.
