RESIDENTS are being asked to help make a splash and a difference by joining in a makeover at Batchley pool.
Redditch Council is working in partnership with BBC Hereford and Worcester to clean out the pond, replace old shrubs and repair broken wall cladding.
The makeover forms part of the Batchley Voices project, a nationwide BBC venture to capture the stories and aspirations of those 'unheard' voices in local communities.
The work will take place today and on Saturday at the circular top end of Batchley Pool, Oak Tree Avenue.
Anyone wishing to take part can just go along or, for more details, call Nat Healey at Redditch Council on 64252 ext 3377 or Redditch community reporter for BBC H&W Tim Coleman on 450849.
As part of the Voices project, on Friday, listeners to BBC H&W will be able to hear a media workshop recorded at Holyoakes Field First School in Batchley and youngsters from Batchley First School will appear on the station's Breakfast Show.
