A DRAMATIC video of a hooded man being interrogated at gunpoint was shown to the jury in the Evesham computer hijack case at Worcester Crown Court.

The man, who has not been named, is filmed seated on an easy chair with a blue towel over his head and being repeatedly questioned about "a missing load".

Two men in the room are identified as Terence Cutler and Simon Johnson, who have both denied the false imprisonment of the man on December 12, 2001, and possession of a firearm with intent to commit false imprisonment.

Cutler, aged 33, of Ellis Peters Drive, and Johnson, 21, of Culmington, Stirchley, both from Telford, have also pleaded not guilty to being involved in a conspiracy to kidnap lorry driver Alan Jones and rob him of a £171,000 load of computers belonging to Evesham.dot.com on June 21 last year.

Accused

Also accused are: Frederick Johnson, 43, and Aaron Johnson, 19, of Culmington, Stirchley, Andrew Currie, 34, of Bourneside Drive, Brookside, Telford, Philip Price, 47, of West Road, Wellington, Terence Devine, 38, of Coronation Road, Walsall Wood, Walsall, Philip Dolphin, 40, of Bishopsdale, Brookdale, Telford, and Stephen Booth, 39, of Hurleybrook Way, Leegomery, Telford.

They pleaded not guilty.

Cutler and Price also deny possession for a firearm during a robbery.

The prosecution alleges that the lorry loaded with computers was hijacked after it was flagged down by bogus policemen.

The driver was forced from his cab at gunpoint, bundled into the boot of a car and released near Swindon four hours later.

The trial continues.
