CONCERT: At the opening concert of Music in Rural Churches, the audience at St Gregory's Church, Tredington, experienced a touch of magic through the performance of The Ralph Allin Four. The virtuoso violin playing of its leader was equally supported by the other members Jadey Carey (cello). Richard Hughes (piano) and Steve Street (drums). The first half was devoted to popular light classics.
The group came into its own after the interval when traditional instruments were swopped for the electronic versions to give stunning performances, of popular jazz classics. This was a return visit of the group to mark the last of three concerts in memory of Meg Rivers.
