CYCLING: Chris Poole recorded a season's best time of 25 minutes 30 seconds in the VC Servale Malvern 10-mile time trial at Severn Stoke on Saturday.
Poole was the quickest Wyre Forest Cycle Racing Club rider and was followed by Aiden Collings who clocked another campaign best of 28-26.
Mick Gray also completed the trial in 29-26, while overall winner was Coventry CC rider Ferdinand Laussman in 22-08.
Meanwhile, Tony Richardson was fourth in the Beacon RCC 28-mile mountain time trial at Great Witley on Sunday in cold, wet and windy conditions.
Richardson powered round the hard course in one hour 18-29, behind overall winner Roger Iddles, of Stourbridge CC, who recorded 1-15-4.
Gaining revenge for the previous week's second place in the club time trial competition behind his son, Len Holbeche beat Rob Holbeche on a hilly 10-mile course at Great Witley and Martley on Wednesday.
L Holbeche recorded 25-22, an eight-second margin over his son, and Stourport teenager Liam Preece was third in 25-31.
