SWIMMING: Two Wyre Forest Swimming Club teams did not have the best of times in the competitive Nuneaton Junior League second round.

Swimmers aged from nine to 12 made up the A side in Division One at Nuneaton and the Bs in Division Three at Stratford.

But several of the usual competitors were unavailable, meaning a step up for some of the lower-ranked members.

The A team finished second-from-bottom with three first places, seven seconds and 18 thirds.

But Forest were unable to field a nine-year-old boys' team at the B event which meant no points were gained from seven races.

They otherwise achieved two first places, three seconds and three thirds but finished last on points.
