PARISH GAMES: Wolverley and Cookley have made a great start to this year's Parish Games events with victories in the short mat bowls and angling competitions.
They took a maximum of 20 points in total from the two events which were held at Gilt Edge Leisure Centre and Sporting Heights at Clay Farm, Clows Top.
Results, short mat bowls: Wolverley and Cookley 10 points, Churchill and Blakedown 9, Stone 8, Upper Arley 7, Kidderminster Foreign 6.
Angling: Wolverley and Cookley 10, Kidderminster Foreign 9, Upper Arley 8, Stone 7.
Overall standings: Stone 25, Upper Arley 24, Kidderminster Foreign 22, Wolverley and Cookley 20, Churchill and Blakedown 17, Rock 7.
