DARTS: Great Western have won the Banks's Bewdley League in one of the most nail-biting ends to a season with a 4-3 victory over White Swan.
The night started badly for Western against a mid-table team who had just pride to play for as Swan ran into a two-leg early lead.
Title-chasing skipper P Kiteley threw county man T Green into action and they finally settled down.
Swan took a 3-2 advantage only for their opponents' captain, K Underhill, to level matters with victory over D McKensie.
Western's R Adams faced Swan's top man P Stilgoe in the most important leg of the night and made a good start.
Stilgoe found the atmosphere hard going but soon the strain started to get to his rival player who began to lose concentration.
It gave the Swan player a chance to catch up but he failed to wrap up the match with three darts at double 18.
Adams secured Western the championship by sinking double one with the 44th dart of a 301-game.
