GOLF: Sheelah Salsby and Marilyn Wood won the Ladies Foursomes Competition at Little Lakes and then came head-to-head in another competition.
A week later, Wood defeated Salsby in the Ladies Monthly Medal.
Ladies Foursomes: Wood and Salsby 98 gross 23 handicap 75 nett, Pat Taylor and Pam Kay 100-21.5-78.5, Rose Parkes and Lisa Rowles 102-16.5-85.5 on back nine from Vi Bennett and Deanne Robson 114-28.5-85.5.
Ladies' Monthly Medal: Wood 101-28-72, Salsby 97-17-80, Parkes 104-21-83.
Results: Halesowen 3.5 Little Lakes Ladies 1.5; Little Lakes 2 Sapey 3.
