THREE missed penalties told the tale of last Sunday's Evesham Hospital and Charity Cup final.
Mark Gledhill spurned the chance from 12 yards two minutes from the end of normal time to win the trophy for Evesham WMC.
Bear goalkeeper Adam Moss produced a superb stop to take the game into extra-time.
The Workers then made their pressure finally tell when Kevin Phillips nodded in a cross from Adam Slade only for the Bear to be given the chance to draw level in the second period.
However, Bobby Deacon's spot-kick hit a post but Barry Williams was on hand to fire in the rebound.
A penalty shoot-out followed and there were no mistakes from the first 11 kickers as Evesham WMC edged ahead 6-5.
It was Daniel Malins who became the third culprit as he fired his penalty high over the bar to leave the Workers' players in celebratory mood.
There was also drama in the morning at Offen-ham where the hosts booked their place in this weekend's Sunday Minor Cup, again at Common Road (6.30pm).
Facing the challenge of Rednall Social, extra-time was looming when Burrows snatched the winner.
Rovers will face Red Horse, 1-0 winners over Broadway United Reserves, in a repeat of their recent Sunday League second division promotion decider.
Last Saturday's Minor Cup final at Broadway was also a close-fought affair but it was Quinton from the Stratford Alliance who got the better of Worcester League opponents Pershore Manor Rovers by the odd goal of three.
Goalkeeper Alan Turvey kept Quinton in the match in the first half and his efforts were rewarded when Jonathan Guest converted a 35th minute penalty.
Turvey was again in action to deny Rovers who fell further behind when Chris Valentino scored ten minutes from time.
Rovers grabbed a consolation with virtually the last kick of the game but it wasn't enough to deny Quinton the glory.
It's the Junior Cup final on Saturday when Littleton face Inkberrow at Common Road (6.30pm).
Sunday League second division side Red Horse travel to Worcester tonight in an attempt to lift the Worcester Nursing Minor Cup.
The Horseman face Trinity Sports at County Sports FC at Droitwich Road but they will have a tough task against a team that is seeking a league and cup double having already been crowned champions of the Worcester League's third division.
Kick-off is 6.45pm.
