ELVIS Presley, Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra - all on the same bill! It's a concert-goer's dream!
Unfortunately due to the expiry of some of the great names - or so they would have us believe - the all-star line up will never be possible. But that doesn't mean we can't dream.
And that's what the performers did who stepped into their heroes' shoes to walk through the smoke and live their own fantasy on TV's most popular talent show, Stars in their Eyes.
Now a whole gang of them are making ready to entertain for a good cause when they stage Night of Stars III at Cheltenham's Everyman Theatre next week.
Cheltenham-based entertainer David Clifford, who enjoyed Stars in Their Eyes success as Morten Harket from A-Ha, has organised the event and will be slipping back into his 80s slip-ons alongside King of Rock 'n' Roll Andy Turner, moonwalking Anthony Edwards and ol' blue eyes Dave Dean. Deborah Christopher will also be busy grooming her Diana Ross wig, Yvonne Yates will be squeezing into a small Cher something and as an extra treat, Buns 'n' Roses will be raising the roof Guns 'n' Roses style. Dave Miles and the Coady Crew will also be squeezing into the line-up.
The show will be raising money for the Spring Centre Trust Fund, the county charity for children with disabilities. For tickets and more information, contact the Everyman box office on 01242 572573.
