DUMBLETON captain Mike Gibson became only the 11th player in the 30-year history of the National Village Championship to score a century and take five wickets in a match.
Gibson smashed an unbeaten 135 to help his side amass a formidable 309-5 against Slad Exiles and then whipped out five batsmen for 27 runs in Dumbleton's 140-run success.
Rob Churchman (89) and Nigel Stanton (50) were the other batsmen to make hefty contributions.
Bredon made expected progress with a 71-run defeat of Fairford after rattling up 194-5 thanks to 64 from Malcolm Dunn and 53 from Martin Fisher.
Steve Bridge took 4-11 as Fairford were shot out for 123.
Saturday's league action saw Dumbleton boast another centurion in Nick Holland, who smashed 124 not out in a 68-run defeat of Goatacre in Gloucestershire/Wiltshire One.
Holland's ton and 57 from John Hottinger helped Dum-bleton reach 295-5, a total that proved out of reach for the 1990 National Village champions who gamely replied with 231-7.
In the same section, Bredon looked destined for defeat after being shot out for just 86 against Hatherley and Redd-ings but Bridge (3-24), Martin Hill (4-23) and Abid Ali (3-8) had other ideas as the visitors were despatched for a meagre 28.
