BOWLS returned to Chipping Campden for the first time in 15 years last week when the green was opened for a members' get together.
The club is keen to recruit new members of all ages and abilities and already has four aged under 18 playing regularly.
A special session for juniors aged eight to 15 is being held on Monday evenings from 4pm.
Other newcomers are welcome to try the game any Monday from 6pm onwards or can contact Gary Robinson on 01386 854738.
"After such a long time we still can't quite believe that the green is open and we are playing on it, said the secretary.
"The contractors have done a marvellous job and it looks like it will be a high quality playing surface. It's sad that some of the loyal members who kept the club going for so long have passed away and didn't live to see this day.
"The best thing we can do to say thank you to them is to get lots of people playing and build a thriving club."
