SCHOOL leavers from a city college enjoyed their final party together last night, before getting down to the business of exams.
Year 11 pupils from Elgar Technology College, in Bilford Road, descended on a Worcester restaurant for a farewell meal and dance after five years at school together.
The 16-year-olds arrived in style, dressed in dinner jackets and evening dresses, with some hiring limousines for the occasion.
"It was a tremendous success," said headteacher Tony James.
"Many of the pupils have been together for five years or more, and they've got a great deal to be proud of.
"Of course there were tears and an element of sadness last night but we do try and emphasise that it's important not to have regrets or look back. With exams coming up, the pupils have a great opportunity to leave on a high note."
The Bridges Carvery, in Hindlip Lane, hosted the successful evening, and Mr James held a Year 11 leavers' assembly this morning.
