THE Deanery Anjali School Appeal will benefit by approximately £200 from the concert held in St Peter's Church on Saturday. This performance by the Meadowsweet Singers, who are locally based, included a wide range of music including negro spirituals, The Ash Grove, Early One Morning and Drink to me only with Thine Eyes. The leader, John Evans, played a selection of organ music whilst the singers had a short break, his music and touch gave a real quality to the instrument. The concert finished with the well known Home Sweet Home and Song of Peace. The vicar, Rev Chris Moss, thanked the Meadowsweet Singers for coming to Bushley and praised their wonderful singing, which was enjoyed by all those who attended.
A reminder of the plant sale and bring and buy to be held at Laburnum Cottage, Bushley Green, on Thursday, from 4-7pm. Please come and support this event in aid of St Peter's Church.
