THE Express players rallied one more time at the end of a long season to send manager Phil Smalley off to his new career in Italy with another cup winner's medal to add to the Bernard Finnegan.

New manager Mark Taylor will be taking over next season with some act to follow as Express put in another convincing performance to ensure only one loss since last November.
A first half goal from Andy Shepherd put them on their way before Stu Summers and Jem Finch combined to gift an equaliser and Mick Hadley marred an otherwise flawless performance to tee up a second to see Express fall behind.
But with Mark Shepherd and Jamie Roberts in their armoury Express always looked like getting back in the game, despite Roberts missing a poorly taken penalty and some superb saves from the opposing keeper.
It was Shepherd who pulled things level with ten minutes left before Roberts fittingly capped a 56-goal season with the winner within a minute of the equaliser to see Express lift the cup.
Thanks go to kit sponsors TWS Windows, matchball sponsors PH Autos, Gerry and Ann and all the supporters who enjoyed the most successful week in the club's history.
Express players and officials are reminded that the end of season presentation will take place on Thursday (May 22) in the Express from 7.30pm, followed by greyhound racing at Hall Green on Friday (May 23).
