A powerful 47 by Mark Winstanley was supported by good running between the wickets as Colwall closed on 107-5
Monmouth responded quickly with 28 off the first four overs. Danielle Lannie changed the game, clean bowling the two openers with her first and third balls as Colwall went on to win by 31 runs with Monmouth on 76-8.
Colwall, the current county champions, visit Wormelow on Sunday (10.45am) in the first round of the Portman U15 National Club Championship.
