A REUNION is being organised to commemorate the 35th birthday of a Malvern brass band.
The Chase High School Brass Band will stage the event on Saturday, July 26, in the school's main hall.
Dorinda Bilsland, cornet player and band committee member, wants as many past players and people with connections to the band as possible to attend the event.
The group started life as a school band in 1968, but membership rules were relaxed a few years ago to boost numbers. Today, it has 22 members, ranging from nine-year-olds to pensioners.
It offers instruments and tuition free of charge to anyone over the age of nine, and currently and has around 30 people learning under the scheme.
Mrs Bilsland said around 300 people attended the band's last reunion, which took place in 1999, and she would like to see as many again.
Anyone interested in attending, should call 01684 562610.
