WAR broke out in the county over the weekend - but the fighting was kept within the confines of a museum and there were no casualties.
Avoncroft Museum of Historic Buildings played host to the American Eagle Society, which is widely acclaimed as one of Britain's finest American Civil War re-enactment groups.
Visitors to the museum, in Stoke Heath, Bromsgrove, were treated to the society's drill displays and encampments, and saw its members wearing authentic dress from this period of American history.
There were also demonstrations of brickmaking and chainmaking on Sunday.
