THE family of a Redditch man killed by a hit and run driver will be visiting hospital staff who cared for him to say thank you.
Neil Tyler, 26, was hit by a car as he crossed a road in Birmingham after a night out with friends on April 12.
Mr Tyler was taken the critical care unit at City Hospital, Birmingham, but died three days later.
At his funeral, Mr Tyler's family asked for donations rather than flowers and raised more than £1,000 for the care unit at the hospital.
The family will be handing over the money to staff nurse Robert Heil, who cared for Mr Tyler.
Police are still trying to trace the car and driver involved.
