TOURING car hopeful Stefan Hodgetts has to deliver in the second weekend of the new Seat Cupra Championship at the weekend.

The Headless Cross driver is in action on the Silverstone circuit where he works every day and has been bullish about his chances of adding to the win he recorded in Round One at Croft.

Hodgetts has piled the pressure on himself and has been widely quoted saying he could drive the course 'blindfold and backwards' because he knows it so well.

The Redditch youngster has his eyes on the Championship which brings a European Touring Car drive and sits fourth on the leaderboard with 22 points.

And he has boosted his chances by landing what he described as 'a good five figure' sponsorship deal from Loaded magazine.

Hodgetts trails series leader Robert Huff by seven points and realistically needs to bag maximum points from two wins on his 'home' circuit to put the pressure on.

If the youngster can get two wins he will draw level with the leader as long as Huff finishes at least third in one of the events - unless he picks up either of the two bonus points on offer for fastest lap.

Qualifying will be held on Saturday with both races on Bank Holiday Monday.
