REDDITCH driver Colin Willmott is heading to Rockingham at the weekend for the next round of the MG Challenge hoping it will be third time lucky.
Willmott failed to compete in the first round at Silverstone after breaking his drive shaft on the grid and had an up-and-down weekend at Oulton Park in Round Two. His MGTF car started 17th on the grid after a poor qualifying session but Willmott climbed the field to ninth on the first lap and fifth going into the third.
But after a spin and collision, Willmott came home 12th and is hoping for better luck at Rockingham before he heads to Spa, Belgium for the European round next month.
