A DISPUTE over a lamppost looks unlikely to be resolved after a resident demanded one be moved from outside her house.
Karen Matthews, of Millrace Road, Abbeydale, says Worcestershire County Council should pay to move the troublesome lamppost so she can expand her driveway following the implementation of parking restrictions on her road.
Miss Matthews says because she and her partner can no longer park their second car on the road, they would like to create a bigger driveway - but can't because the lamppost is in the way.
She asked the county council to move it but has been told she would have to pay for it herself.
But county highways manager for Redditch Jim Casey said he had not received one objection to the yellow lines and the residents' meeting was advertised in the press - and on lampposts.
