A REDDITCH group is re-launching its weekly workshops for youngsters on Saturday after having to close them due to a lack of volunteers.
Descendants of Windrush (DOW) is an African Caribbean group which was formed in 1998 and grew out of celebrations for the 50th anniversary of the SS Windrush arriving in Britain, marking the first large-scale immigration of black/Caribbean people.
DOW has run a multicultural, Caribbean-orientated workshop since March 2000 on Saturday, for youngsters aged five to 16, which is held at the Halcyon Centre, Easemore Road, from 1.30-3.45pm and is free.
