AN U12s football team from Rubery has won the county cup.
The Waseley Hills High School team defeated Redditch's Church Hill Middle School 2-1 at Bromsgrove Rovers' Victoria Ground on Tuesday, May 6 with goals from Stuart Cooke and Michael Hesketh.
Hesketh also scored in the 2-1 semi-final victory over Woodrush and grabbed both in the 2-1 quarter-final defeat of Walkwood.
He was on target again with Cooke in round two's 3-1 win over Worcester's Christopher Whitehead while Joe Robinson scored four in the 6-0 first round win against Alvechurch.
Laurence Martin, Mark Bolton and Joshua Cook scored the other goals.
