ROVERS Sunday have capped a superb season by claiming the Advertiser/Messenger Football League division one championship.
Gary Walmsley's side confirmed top spot with a 6-0 thrashing of Alvechurch Darts last Thursday and have now won six of the eight trophies on offer this season.
It has been a truly outstanding season, especially considering a massive fixture backlog during April and May left Rovers playing three time a week.
Elsewhere, Woodbourne Sports ended their first season in top flight with a 4-1 win at bottom side Ringspanners.
Crown Inn have won the division three title on goal difference. A day of drama last Sunday began with Blackwell defeating ten-man Cofton Falcons 3-1, who had Wayne Boyce sent off. That assured Crown Inn of the championship unless Victoria Barnt Green won by at least 16 goals. Green won 6-1 at Chequers.
