CALLOWBROOK Swifts U10s A narrowly missed out on a league and double with defeat in the Central Warwickshire Youth League Cup final.
Swifts, who won the Central Warwickshire Youth League division D championship scoring 60 goals in 18 matches, were beaten 1-0 by Highgate United last weekend.
Swifts contained Highgate until the beginning of the second half when a goal mouth scramble saw the ball jabbed past the Swifts goalkeeper.
As Swifts started to settle, they started to pass the ball well and create opportunities but despite constant pressure Swifts could not find the equaliser. Lee Henry came closest when he rattled the bar.
Manager Colin Hurley said: "I am thrilled to bits for the lads who have worked hard all season for their rewards."
