MUMS were treated to a visit by TV presenter Anne Diamond, who popped in to open a new family advice centre.
Scores of Spa parents turned out to see Anne , famed for BBC's Good Morning alongside Nick Owen, unveil Westlands new WANDS centre in Farmer's Way.
Last Friday's official opening went down a storm with parents who were invited to preview the centre's facilities while youngsters enjoyed face painting, a children's entertainer and painting competition.
Anne, herself a mother of four, said: "It's an honour to be here today at the official opening of this centre.
"It is wonderful to see a community starting to look after itself and I am sure others will look on in envy as they see what this centre has to offer. I am so proud of the work they are doing and hope the centre proves a great success."
WANDS stands for Westlands and Neighbourhood Nursery Development with Sure Start and is backed by Worcestershire County Council.
Programme manager, Karen Chidlow was delighted with the day's events. She said: "We will be tackling every aspect of childcare, from illness to neglect, and will be talking to parents from conception through to child birth and beyond.
"Our aim is to give greater support to produce healthier babies."
The centre will be offering drop-in sessions to tackle subjects such as sexual health and domestic violence in forthcoming weeks and is looking at the prospect of after-school care for youngsters.
