CECIL Duckworth believes John Brain and Andy Keast are on the verge of committing for another season.
Worcester Rugby Club's chairman met with the Sixways coaches yesterday over one-year extensions to their current deals that are due to run out at the end of June.
There were fears that the management could turn their backs on Worcester after they failed to reach the Premiership last season. However, following talks yesterday, the duo look ready to sign up for another shot at promotion.
"I think there is a feeling of unfinished business at the club," said Duckworth.
"Although we don't have anything official yet, all the indications are that there will be promotion and relegation from the Premiership next season and the players and coaches are aware of that.
"The feeling throughout the coaching staff and players is that there is still a job to be done and that is very positive. The players and coaches are very committed."
The only sticking point now surrounds Keast's family commitments.
The former Harlequins coach is based down south and had to commute last season.
However, with a young family and a wife with business commitments, the decision to move closer to the club is likely to be the central issue for Keast.
"I've got the bit between my teeth," he said. "I think everyone feels as if they want to give it another go but from my point of view, I have to weigh up other factors."
Duckworth, however, has been delighted with the attitude of the squad after missing out on promotion last season.
Out of the first choice 15, only Tim Walsh has jumped ship, while the multi-millionaire has hinted that star player Ben Hinshelwood could also be about to commit himself to another 12 months at Sixways.
Hinshelwood has another year left on his contract but has a clause to move if the right offer comes along. Duckworth, though, believes the Scottish international will see out his deal.
"Ben's been very loyal," added Duckworth.
"I think he likes Worcester and enjoys the atmosphere of the club. I think it is very likely that he will be staying at the club."
