REDDITCH MP Jacqui Smith has praised new school figures which reveal teacher levels across the county to be at a record high.
The county council figures showed teacher numbers had risen by 569 since 1999, while teacher salaries had gone up by nearly 27 per cent during the same period.
Figures showed the average teacher in the county now earned nearly £30,000 a year.
