I WRITE in response to Mrs Davies' comments regarding the Abbey Stadium project (Advertiser, May 7).

She claims the snowdome will bring outsiders to Redditch. Surely the whole purpose of this complex is to attract as many people as possible to make it succeed?

Mrs Davies also suggests there is no need for a cinema.

I believe this goes against the majority opinion of Redditch residents.

Those with transport have to travel to Rubery or Solihull for the nearest facilities.

I can confirm there are no direct bus services to these venues.

The multiscreen cinema will provide entertainment for all ages and is long overdue.

We do need a much improved swimming pool with longer opening hours than those currently available.

I personally am very keen for this project. I hope it is a success and a credit to Redditch.
