TWO Alcester primary schools have been recognised for improving achievement with a Government award.
St Faith's Junior School and Alcester Infants School received letters saying they would be receiving money, to be given to staff, for either substantially improving results or achieving better results than most schools in similar circumstances for 2001/02.
Alcester Infants headteacher Sally Staley said she was delighted that for the third year in a row, staff had been rewarded for their achievements.
