THE biggest match in more than 20 years for Wolverhampton Wanderers has seen the biggest flag in Bewdley created.

The Waggon & Horses has draped a giant Wolves flag on the front of the building to show undying support for the side's Division One play-off final against Sheffield United, on Bank Holiday Monday.

The pub's landlady, Denise Eaton, thought it was a great way of supporting Wolves, who are hoping to return to the top flight for the first time since 1984.

She could not buy the flag so she had to have it custom-made by a Kidderminster firm that makes football strips.

"We have a lot of customers who are Wolves supporters. I'm one and so are my family," said Denise, who will be among 30,000 Wolves fans hoping for success at the game in Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.

In the past few years, Wolves have missed out at the play-off stages on three occasions.

Last season they seemed certain for automatic promotion, but let slip an 11-point lead to their fiercest rivals, West Bromwich Albion, before losing in the play-off semi-final to Norwich City.
