THE annual parish meeting had representatives from Gloucestershire County Council, councillor Barry Dare, Cotswold District Council, and councillor Carole Topple in attendance. Both made informative points on issues affecting parishioners. Coun Topple was given a vote of thanks for having served as the representative on the district council.
The first meeting of the parish council was held with new councillors Simon Meyrick, Mrs Elizabeth Greenhill and Erik Jensen presenting their Declarations of Office. Coun Golby was elected to the position of chairman and coun Meyrick accepted the position of vice-chairman. The clerk, on behalf of the parish and the council, offered a proclamation of thanks to retiring councillors Lee, Bartlett and Mrs Ricketts. A preliminary report on speed and parking restrictions was received. The date of the next meeting is scheduled for June 9.
