GARDENING CLUB: Members were entertained by two unusual visitors Teebo and Bramble at the meeting on May 14. These were a tawny and a barn owl from the local sanctuary concerning which Miss Bryony Holden and colleague gave an entertaining talk. This was well received by the members.
The club next meets for a special event which is open to the public on Wednesday, June 4, in the Townsend Hall in Sheep Street at 7.30pm to hear an illustrated talk by the broadcaster and speaker Mr Howard Drury on New Zealand and its flora. Tickets are available at the door at £5.
